TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS


 

To give REALTORS® the choice to select membership in the local board that offers the services and programs they find most valuable, the National Association of REALTORS® instituted a membership mandate called Board of Choice in January, 1996.  Under Board of Choice, REALTORS® and Designated REALTORS® have the option of joining the NKAR as a primary or secondary member. 


REALTOR® Membership

Individuals who hold an active real estate license and are active in the real estate profession and its recognized branches are eligible for REALTOR® membership


Designated REALTOR® Membership

A sole proprietor, partner or corporate office who holds an active Kentucky broker's license and is active in the real estate profession is eligible for designated REALTOR® membership.


Affiliate Membership

Individuals engaged in business related to real estate, but who do not hold an active real estate license are eligible for affiliate membership.

Membership Process


The following describes in brief the process of becoming a member of

 the Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS®
 

Application:

To become a member the first step is to fill out an application. You can find these at the association office or download one of the following

 


Orientation:

You must complete the six hour orientation class. The class is made up of two sections. The first one being an overview of Real Estate and the other being a Fair Housing class. Call for the current class schedule.


Dues Payment:

You are required to pay pro-rated dues for the current year and next years dues.

Board Approval:

The applications of yourself and other candidates go before the Board of Directors for final approval.
