Last Saturday, September 13th, NKAR Leadership and REALTOR® members welcomed various local, state and national dignitaries to their headquarters in Florence, KY to celebrate 100 years serving the Northern Kentucky communities with their real estate transactions. Special proclamations were presented by Boone County Judge Executive, Gary Moore and City of Florence Coordinator, Rick Lunnemann, proclaiming Saturday, September 13th 2014, REALTOR® Day in both Florence and Boone County.

Since 1914, NKY REALTORS have been working to protect the rights of private property ownership and have ethically assisted members of the community with their real estate transactions. In 1914 the Covington-Newport Board of REALTORS® received its charter from the National Association of REALTORS®. NAR President Steve Brown from Dayton, OH spoke at the event, congratulating the organization for its perseverance and commitment to the public for 100 years.   Through the years, Covington-Newport Board split into the Campbell County Board and the Covington-Kenton Board.  Covington-Kenton became the Kenton-Boone Board in 1959.  In 1995, the Campbell County Board and Kenton-Boone Board became the Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS® which they remain today.

The members and Leadership of the Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS® would like to say “Thank You” to their clients throughout NKY for their business and their confidence in us over the last 100 years.

REALTORS® of NKAR are grateful for the opportunity to serve and to promote homeownership in our communities.
