New Listings are Popping Up All Over NKY Neighborhoods

Florence, KY – May 21, 2015 The Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS® and The Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service are pleased to report that home sales are up for the month of April 2015 (534) over April 2014 (517), an increase of 3.29%.   The most exciting news we have to share is that the inventory shortage rebounded in April with 964 new residential listings for sale in the local housing market.  This number of new listings is the highest monthly addition to the MLS since March 2010 when 1196 new listings hit (at the time when the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit was ending). 

Another positive for NKY was the number of listings that went pending (under contract to purchase) in April (694) which was the highest number of pending listings in one month since April 2010 when 770 homes went pending.  Buyers are out looking for their dream home right now and there hasn’t been a better opportunity for sellers to sell their home in the last few years than right now.  REALTORS® say homes that are priced right and aren’t sitting on the market very long at all and it’s not uncommon to be in multiple offers on the most sought after homes.
